The human cannot listen to screaming of the bat because it is ultrasonic.

Explanation:

  • The sounds with a frequency below 16Hz are bearable by human beings.
  • If the frequency of the sound is above 16Hz, then it is not audible to the human beings.
  • Based upon the frequency of the sound it is classified as follows:
  1. Infrasonic: Sound with a frequency below 16Hz.
  2. Ultrasonic: Sound with a frequency above 16Hz.
  • Humans can hear infrasonic sounds, whereas cannot hear the ultrasonic sound.
  • As the screaming sound of bat has a frequency above 16Hz, it is considered as ultrasonic and thus human cannot listen to it.
