when the bus starts suddenly we fall back .This is because lower part of our body id in contact with bus but not the upper part .when the bus starts suddenly our legs also start to move but our upper body tends to be in its same position due to inertia of rest.This makes upper part remain in ots position whereas lower part moves forward which we consider as falling backward.
