When a bus runs along a straight line path, the passengers also move with the same speed in a straight line but when the bus takes a sharp turn the upper portion of the body of passengers still continues to be in straight line motion but the lower portion tends to take a turn along with the bus and passengers tend to fall sideways.

Answer:
Inertia
Explanation:
This happens because of Inertia. When sitting in a bus, the lower part of our body tends to continue being at rest, when the bus is turning. But the upper part of the body moves, as a result, we fall sideways
Hope it helps
