2 is a zero of the polynomial

therfore p(2) = 3 (2^2) +k (2^2)- 8x2 +10=0

= 3(4) + k(4) -16+10= 0

= 12 +4k-16+10=0

= 6+4k = 0

4k= -6

k= -6/4

k = -3/2
