Given : We have error in the measurement of length, radius, mass and current of a wire are 2%, 3%, 2% and 1%.

To find : The percentage error in its density.

solution : Don't confuse to see error in current of the wire, it has just given here to create confusion in our minds.

density , d = m/V = m/πr²l

so fractional error is given by,

∆d/d = ∆m/m + 2∆r/r + ∆l/l

therefore percentage error in density is given by,

% error in d = % error in m + 2 × % error in r + % error in l

= 2% + 2 × 3% + 2%

= 10%

Therefore percentage error in its density is 10%
