We have little 'myna'.It is a small black bird with a bright yellow beak and shining, intelligent eyes . We purchased it at a fair in Darjeeling. When it first came to our house, it could only say 'Hello! But very soon my brother taught it to say 'Kaun Hai!' (Who is there?) Then we taught it to say Namaste!' All of us used to love our little black bird, whom we had named 'Mynoo'. My little sister used to give it green chillies to eat and taught it to time its cries of 'Kaun hai' when people arrived. It would also cry Namaste!''Namaste!' when visitors left our house.It kept a good watch over our house as no one could come in with our our knowledge.The repeated 'Kaun hai' of Mynoo would draw our attention at once.
