We hear sound more clearly in a furnished room than in an empty room because in empty room there are no absorbents of sound hence the sound will reflect and most of the time it leads to the echoing of the sound whereas in a furnished room there will be many things like cushion etc which will absorb the sound and wont let the sound to reflect or to cause echo , hence we hear a better clear sound in a well furnished room than in an empty room
