We know that Earth is revolving on its axis , If after six months ( when earth reaches on the other side of Sun covering a huge distance ) then why does the pole star is still does not move as other stars?
Does it mean that pole star is moving

it is becz the pole star is just in the straight line with north pole so frm where ever we see it,it is constant.....

MayankJha3108: I know that but read by question carefully( when earth reaches on the other side of sun)
Fermat: yess but keep in mind wherever the earth moves the north pole always points the same direction
MayankJha3108: Thanks

cause the pole star is situated on the axis of the earth

mainly the the stars are not moving but the earth is moving and thus stars seems to move

but in the case of pole star it does not appear to revolve due to its position

hope it hleps
