We know that, in a concave mirror or in a convex mirror..both the mirrors reflect the light rays coming towards them..then why this case is not possible in the case of spherical lenses..as for example in convex lens.. the outer body is made up of convex mirror.. then why does reflection of light does not occurs..rather than passing the light rays through it...

spherical mirror is transparent not opaque... so it simply passes the light ray through itself..while the mirrors are covered with reflecting layer of silver and painted by red to protect the coating so it reflects light ray..
