We observed that the product of two negative integers is a positive integer. What will be the product of three negative integers? Four negative integers? Let us observe the following examples:(–5) × [(–4) × (–3) × (–2) × (–1)] = (–5) × 24 = –120

We observed that the product of two negative integers is a positive integer.

➡️if we take three negative numbers at a time and multiply all of them,we get multiplication with negative sign.

➡️if we take four negative numbers at a time and multiply all of them,we get multiplication with positive sign.

➡️➡️Note : when multiplying even negative number result is positive
otherwise negative

for example: 3 negative numbers

(– 4) × (–3) × (–2) = [(– 4) × (–3)] × (–2) = 12 × (–2) = – 24

for example: 4(even = positive result) negative numbers

(– 4) × (–3) × (–2) × (–1) = [(– 4) × (–3)] × [(–2)×(–1)] = 12 × (2) = 24

for example: 5 negative numbers( 5 = odd (negative result)
:(–5) × [(–4) × (–3) × (–2) × (–1)] = (–5) × 24 =
–120
