What happens is that more than one shadow can be obtained when there is a  light that fall on an object from more than one source.

For instance;

1. In a stadium when players are playing at night, so many shadows of one player can be seen at the same time.

2. At night when one stands where there are flood lights also known as street lights are, we will get multiple shadows as light from multiple streetlights gets obstructed by our body.
