Fossil fuels last only for few hundred years because they are exhaustible natural resources. iyf consumed at a rate faster then the rate at which these are formed in nature they will get exhausted very soon.

Once the present stock of these gets exhausted, no new supply of these fossil fuels will be available to us in the near future because it's required millions of years for the conversion of dead organisms into these fuel.

we have two kinds of resources that is renewable and non renewable resources...

1. Out of which fossil fuels come under non- renewable resources which vanish after some point of time (which may be 100 years or maybe more than that )

2.Non renewable resources are those resources which can't be regenerated or made once utilized.

3. - They are not sustainable.
- Their formation takes very long period of time.(long process)
- They can't be replenished
- They are formed natural and can't be made by man made technology
- They are not so vast as it can't be created again and again for the abandoned usage of human beings.
Can result in exhausting of the resource.
- Non renewable resources.

4. Ex : Coal, petroleum diseal etc...

By these we can say that fossil fuels can last for only few hundred years!!....
