The stars appear to move in the sky two ways. As the Earth is rotating on it's axis from west to east, stars appear to rise in the east and set in the west taking roughly 12 hours to do so. ... In other words, we can see the same star for only about six months in a year in the night sky (at different times, of course).

maybe my answer is correct.....

"We see a whole different set of stars after every 6 months"

-Because, the earth revolves around the sun and, in 6 months time, moves to the other side of the sun.

That's the reason why it changes after every 6 months.
