We see an object because light cone from it to our eyes but wall is not a source of energy of light then how we see the wall

Actually wall is a rough surface and we are able to see the wall only when light falls on it and reflects (irregular reflection due to rough surface) back to our eyes... We can't see the wall in the absence of light ...
