we should not spray water oil fires why?

Since water and oil don't mix, when you dump water on a grease fire, it sinks right through to the bottom of the pan and evaporates instantly, spreading flaming oil everywhere and c
leading the fire to spread.

it is because oil have lower density than wAter even though we spray water in oil fire due to low density oil will floating water and will continue to burn
