Hey dear here is your answer!!!!!

Fire in an electrical appliance is caused due to a fault in the power supply. So, if an electrical appliance is on fire and you throw water on it. There is a chance that the electricity is still flowing through it. Since, water is a conductor of electricity, it may complete the circuit between appliance and ground through you and you may get an electric shock. An electric shock may be hazardous to our health and can be fatal.

That is why we should not try to put out a fire in electric appliances with water !

Answer:

Pure water is not a conductor of electricity. But when it get mixed or dissolved with other materials, it becomes a good conductor of electricity and become dangerous as it can cause electrocution to human. So CO2 fire extinguishers or sands are used to extinguish electrical fire.

Petroleum products and oils have lesser density than water and so they float on water. The fire will keep burning and even get worse. So in such cases too, fire extinguishers or sands are the best options to extinguish the fire.
