We have to pour water when something burning we can call water as fire extinguisher but when the electrical equipments involved we have not use water because we can get shock, in that situation we have to use another fire extinguisher that is co2(carbon dioxide) because the fire needs oxygen o2 so when carbon dioxide enters oxygen level decrease and burning stops.
