SOLUTION.
What is weight of a object ?
- As we see if we throw a body in air on the surface of earth than it come back so there is a force exerted by the earth on the object which attracts the object this force is known as weight of the body.
Weight = mass × Acceleration due to gravity
Let the mass be m
Acceleration be g
than weight = mg
On surface of earth g = √GM/√R
where G is gravitation constant
M is mass of earth
R is radius of earth
Acc to question
30 = √GM/√R.....(1)
Let the mass of planet = M°
Radius of planet = R°
than weight of same object can be written as..
W° = √GM°/√R°....(2)
M° = M/9
R° = R/2
Put in (2)
W° = (√2/3)(√GM/√R)
from (1) √GM/√R = 30
W° = 30(√2/3)
W° = 10√2kg
