SOLUTION.

What is weight of a object ?

  • As we see if we throw a body in air on the surface of earth than it come back so there is a force exerted by the earth on the object which attracts the object this force is known as weight of the body.

Weight = mass × Acceleration due to gravity

Let the mass be m

Acceleration be g

than weight = mg

On surface of earth g = GM/R

where G is gravitation constant

M is mass of earth

R is radius of earth

Acc to question

30 = √GM/√R.....(1)

Let the mass of planet =

Radius of planet =

than weight of same object can be written as..

= √GM°/√R°....(2)

= M/9

= R/2

Put in (2)

= (2/3)(√GM/√R)

from (1) √GM/√R = 30

= 30(2/3)

= 102kg
