Weight of an object at a given place is the product of its mass and the acceleration due to gravity(g) at that particular place.
The mass of an object is constant, but value of g varies. That's why mass is constant but weight varies when we weigh the object at different places. For example, value of g at equator is 9.81 m/s² whereas at poles, it is 10 m/s². So an object will weigh more at poles than at equator.
