Weimar Republic established in Germany after World War I redesigned the Polity of Germany. But it had some inherent defects due to which the Weimar Republic was Fragile.
Some inherent defects of the Weimar Republic are as follows --
1) The system of Proportional representation made achieving a majority by one party a near impossible task.
2) This led to rule by coalitions which made it vulnerable to dictatorship.
3) The Article 48 gave the president to impose emergency. Article 48 was open to use.
All these factors made Weimar Republic Fragile.

Hey there,
Down here ⏬
> Weimar republic was a German Democratic Government setted up soon after the 1st world war.
> But, it was not supported well by its own people. That was because :
• The Treaty of Versailles : People made the Weimar Constitution responsible for the harsh and humiliating peace at Versailles. Germany was made to pay compensation worth £6 million.
• Politically, Weimar republic was fragile. One among the problem was proportional representation. This made achieving a majority by any one party a near impossible task, leading to rule by a coalitions.
• Another defect was Article 48, which gave president the powers to impose emergency, suspend civil rights and rule by decree.
• People lost confidence in democratic parliamentary system, which seemed to offer no solutions.
> In this way, The Democracy (Weimar republic ) was a young and fragile idea.
Hope it helps.
