Were the known laws of physics valid at the Big Bang?

If the Big Bang happened in a single moment of time, and all the material from that singularity shot out into space, it would have kept going and never formed into anything, from my way of thinking. There was nothing to cause the material to coalesce. There was no gravity, because there were no celestial bodies.
