Torrid zone :

This is the area of the earth near the equator.

It is a warm region.

It does not experience the four seasons.

The sun is directly overhead the equator twice a year in March and September.

Temperate Zone

It lies between the subtropics and the polar circles.

It experiences the four seasons.

Torrid zone is the zone which lies near the equator. Here the sun's rays fall directly on the surface without much interaction with the atmosphere as the result it can heat up the temperature of the place much up. Here in this zone, it is mostly hot. It doesn't experience various season.

On the other hand the temperate zone is the zone which lies between the tropic of cancer and the equator and the tropic of Capricorn and the equator. It experience four seasons in the course of the climate. The temperature here is not too high and not too low.
