Wha are the types of friction?
Answers
Answer:
What is Friction?
Friction is the force resisting the relative motion of solid surfaces, fluid layers, and material elements sliding against each other.
It is also called as a nesscary evil!
Explanation:
Types of Friction:
There are four types of friction:
Static.
Sliding.
Rolling.
Fluid friction.
Static, sliding, and rolling friction occur between solid surfaces!

There are three type of friction-
1. Static Friction
2. Limiting friction
3. Kinetic Friction
1. Static Friction-
=> The friction force acting on the body when a body is at rest and some external force.
=> The magnitude of static friction is equal to applied external force.
=> It is a self adjusting force in nature.
2. Limiting Friction-
=> It is maximum value of static Friction.
=> It comes into action when the body is just on the verge of moving or about to move.
3. Kinetic Friction-
=> The friction which comes into action when a object is in motion is kinetic friction.
=> The magnitude of kinetic friction does not depend on whether the motion is accelerated or retarded.
=> In general the value of static friction is always greater than the value of kinetic Friction.
