So had to pay war reparations in gold(As they were held guilty of the war) .

This depleted the gold resources as they were scarce.

So Germany refused to pay.

French occupied industrial area Ruhr to claim their coal.

Germany printed paper money recklessly.

With too much printed money in circulation, value of German Mark(Currency Name) fell.

So value of German Mark(Currency name) collapsed.

Prices of goods soared.

Caused hyperinflation.

A situation where prices rise phenomenally high......
