The protest happened in March 2000 under the leadership of Oscar Olivera. It ended by Victor Hugo Daza, a high school student getting killed by Bolivian Army Captain.
A Concord was signed between the government and Oscar Olivera and the government guaranteed the removal of Aguas del Tunari, the protagonist of the Bolivian war. The waterworks were given back to La Coordinadora. Demonstrators who protested and were held by the government were released. Law 2029, which was favourable to Aguas del Tunari, was changed in the special session conducted on 11th of April, 2000.
