The Jacobin clubs was the most important group of the French Revolution. This group was best known for its extreme egalitarianism and brutality and served the Revolutionary government in France. This group spread the idea of nationalism as the members of the group followed the Republican ideas, and promoted universal manhood suffrage, modern education and the separation of church from the state. The members of this group were against the autocracy of the king. The Jacobin club put an end to the monarchy in France. This action of the Jacobins led them to spread the idea of nationalism.
