a fold of the peritoneum which attaches the stomach, small intestine, pancreas, spleen, and other organs to the posterior wall of the abdomen.

Mesentery is actually a fold of tissue that attaches organs to d body wall. Its formed by d double fold of peritoneum(I guess u know wat peritoneum is) that attaches d intestine to d abdomen wall.
