The advantage that an organism living in terrestrial regions gets than an aquatic organism regarding to the availability of oxygen are listed below -
1. The terrestrial organism gets more oxygen as they get oxygen from the atmosphere which has high amount of oxygen. The quantity of oxygen is low in water, so the aquatic organisms gets less oxygen then the terrestrial ones.
2. Due to this, the terrestrial organisms can make proper utilisation of food by the process of respiration as compared to the aquatic organisms.

Aquatic organisms use oxygen dissolved in surrounding water . Since air dissolved in water has fairly low concentration of oxygen , the aquatic organisms have much faster rate of breathing .
Terrestrial organisms take oxygen from
the oxygen-rich atmosphere through
respiratory organs . Hence , they have
much less breathing rate than aquatic
organisms .
