since these are very fine and light, they can be transported from one place to another even with slight breeze. When these fibres are inhaled, they cause breathing problems like asthma and bronchial ailment  to the workers working in a silk textile industry. Workers may also have

i) skin allergies

ii) headache, nausea,etc
