The periodic table can be used to derive relationships between the properties of the elements, and predict the properties of new elements yet to be discovered or synthesized. The periodic table provides a useful framework for analyzing chemical behaviour, and is widely used in chemistry and other sciences.

You can get the reactivity or valency of the element which in turn explains a lot. If the element lies in group 1 or 2 then it is a reactive metal. From group 3 to 12 we have metals. Then from 13-18 we have elements with different properties, like in group 17 we have halogens which are highly reactive. From group no. And period no. You can figure out the electronic configuration of the element and also kind of shapes of orbitals. Then when you know the electronic configuration you can find the bond order of the element. Also the magnetic moment along with bond length. Its just a start of what you can know from the periodic table. There is a lot more.
