The Sum of money which was divided among a,b and c is Rs. 200

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that b and c gets Rs 100, c and a gets Rs 150

That is b+c=100, c+a = 150

Also

a=2b

We will substitute a=2b in c+a =150 and solve for c

c+2b =150

⇒c=150-2b

Now we will substitute c=150-2b in b+c=100 and solve for b

b+c=100

⇒b+150-2b=100

⇒-b=100-150

⇒-b=-50

⇒b=50

Again substituting the value of b in a=2b we get:

a=2×50

a=100

Finally substituting the value of b in c=150-2b we get

c=150-(2×50)

c=150-100

c=50

Thus the sum of money will be a+b+c, that is

Sum of money = 50+100+50=200

The answer is 200 Rs.

Given: Amount of money is divided between A, B and C

B and C together get Rs 100

A get twice as much as B

C and A together get 150 Rs ⇒

To find: The amount of money divided among A, B and C

Solution: Let the amount A, B and C get A, B and C respectively

From given data

⇒ B + C= 100_(1)

⇒ A = 2B _ (2)

⇒ C +A = 150 _(3)

Substitute A = 2B in (3)  ⇒   C + 2B = 150 _(4)

Subtract (4) from (1) ⇒ B + C - ( C+2B) = 100 - 150

⇒ B + C - C - 2B = - 50

⇒ - B = - 50 ⇒ B = 50

From (2) ⇒ A = 2(50) = 100 Rs

From (3) ⇒ C + 100 = 150

                  C = 50

The amount of money divided among A, B and C = A+B+C

= 100 + 50 + 50 = 200 Rs.

The amount of money divided among A, B and C = 200 Rs
