I think you meant acid-base reaction?
This basically is a chemical reaction that occurs between an acid and a base. It determines pH.

Answer:

If you meant a reaction between acid and base, then

A reaction between acid and base is also called neutralization reaction(usually an exothermic reaction i.e. gives out heat).

For ex- NaOH+HCl= H20+ NaCl

Acids:

Acids are certain chemical compounds that turns blue litmus to red, has ph level below 7, reacts with metals to liberate Hydrogen and react with bases to form salts.

Examples of Acidic compounds: Sulphuric Acid(H2SO4), Hydrochloric Acid(HCl), Nitric Acid(HNO3) etc.

Bases:

Bases are certain chemical compounds that turns red litmus to blue, has ph level above 7, soapy in nature, donates electrons, accepts protons, or releases hydroxide (OH-) ions in aqueous solution and reacts with Acid to form salts.

note: Bases that dissolve in water are called alkalis

Examples of Basic compounds: NaOH(Sodium Hydroxide), KOH(Potassium Hydroxide) etc.
