There were many advantages enjoyed by the Sinhalas community in Sri Lanka just like the preferential policies formulated by the government. They were also given the consideration to apply for positions in the university and also for jobs. The official religion was Buddhism and language was Sinhala. After this they also faced many consequences due to the setup which was all about to divide the country into civil war. Moreover, there were also many drastic effects on the economy and health.
