What are all the different types of interphase
Answers
Answer:
Interphase :- It is the phase which a cell undergoes during the mitosis cycle. It is also considered as the largest phase of mitosis cycle. They are divided into 3 stages namely:
- Gap 1 Phase ( G1 )
- Synthesis Phase ( S )
- Gap 2 Phase ( G2 )
Gap 1 Phase or ( G1 ) :- It is the stage of interphase during which cells undergo high scale protein synthesis. The cells continue to function normally and generally attain the size double their original one.
Synthesis Phase or ( S ) :- This is the stage of interphase in which genetic material such as DNA and chromosomes get doubled and synthesised. This marks the beginning of G2 phase.
Gap 2 Phase or ( G2 ) :- It is the stage of interphase during which all material such as cytoplasm and mitochondria get divided evenly among the cell in the interior. The cell then becomes ready for mitotic division.
The G2 phase marks the end of Interphase which lasts for more than 24 hours in an human.
