allotropes  are different form of the same element.they are formed because of  different bonding arrangements between atoms. eg  diamond and graphite are allotropes of carbon.
allotropes of phosphorous are red phosphorous and white phosphorous .
allotropes of oxygen are ozone and molecular oxygen(o2)
