Antacids or antiacids are used in our small intestine secreted by the pancreas (Eg Bile juice). The food from the stomach is acidic because of secretion of HCL and trypsin (an enzyme in the small intestine) needs a basic medium to work so Bile juice does the work and makes a basic medium which are called antacids
