The specialized white blood cells called B-lymphocytes produce antigens. Body produces a specific antibody when an antigen is found in it.  This is the natural mechanism of antibody production.

Antibodies can also be synthetically produced, that is in laboratories. Antigen is exposed to white blood cells so that antibody production takes place. When the antibodies are produced it is collected and large scale production is done using microbes in specific growth mediums etc. Antibody  produced by such methods are for medication in urgent cases, like snake bites etc. Antibodies are administered for several other purposes too.
