Axioms are the certain statements on the basis of which other mathematical statements are built. These axioms are the foundation of mathematics. Axioms are assumed to be true under certain conditions. For example, if I say. For every real number A, there exist a 0 belonging to the set of real numbers such that A+0 = 0+A = A. Now, this is true. But we have assumed this statement to be true. Postulates and axioms are same.
