it comes under genetics

test cross is a typical cross an organism showing dominant phenotype is crossed with the recessive parent instead of self pollination .the progenies of such a cross  can be analysed to predict the genotype of test organism .

back cross is the  cross of a typical hybrid organism to one of its parent  to find its phenotype of that organism
