What are border roads . Explain importance and construction of it?

Border roada are those roads which are constructed on the borders of a particular area. It important because it provides accessibilty to the areas of difficult terrain. In 1960 the organisation developed the border roads and the organisation was BRO. It has been set up in northern and northeastern areas of the country. It also helped the economic development of those regions.

border roads are divided into two types on the basis of material used:

1)metalled roads:May be made up of cement,concrete or even bitumen of coal.therefore,these are all weather roads.

2)unmetaled or unpaved roads:they are made up of clay,crushed rock and can be in dry reasons only..
