Bulliform cells are the epidermal cells which have the shape of a bubble and are large type of cell. These cells can be found in the monocot group of plants on the upper portion of the leaves. These cells have no color.

Functions :

1. These cells has the ability or the capacity to store water.

2. When condition like water stress occurs, then these cells helps in reducing the loss of water by curling of the leaves inward
