Burr or also spelt as Bur are seeds of plants, which have spikes around them and these spikes are slightly bent towards their end, which make them easier to attach them to the furs or coats of animals or clothes of human beings.

The bur after getting attached to the coat or clothing gets detached or are shredded from the body of animals and this helps the plant, to which the burr belonged, in the process of seed dispersal for reproduction.
