Cartilaginous Bones - These types of bones are formed due to the Ossification of the cartilage.

• They are also known as replacing bones.

• It is also named as Endochondral bones.

•For the Formation of bones mainly two types of cells are required

1. Chodroclast- They reabsorb the cartilage matter present in it.

2. Osteoblast- They deposit bony matter into cartilage so cartilage is replaced by the bone. That's why they are also named as replacing bones.

Examples-

It is found in maximum bones of our body like in limb bones, ribs etc.
