Metals are dense, shiny, good conductors of heat and electricity, and easily lose electrons in chemical reactions. Nonmetals are not dense, dull, do not conduct heat and electricity, and tend to gain electrons. Metalloids are elements that have properties of both metals and nonmetals.

Answer:

All metals are solids at room temprature except mercury which is a liquid ta room tempreture * it is lusturuse * metals reactwith non metals to form ionic compouds for example : 2Na+ CL2

==> 2Nacl * metals combine with oxygen to form metal oxides which are basic in nature for example : 2mg+O2 ==> 2mgO
