Chromosomes are rod shaped structures found in the nucleus of the cell. Chromosomes contain information for inheritance of features from parents to next generation in the form of DNA molecule.

The two gametes fuse during fertilisation and the offspring become diploid (2n) which is same as parents chromosomes number.

Chromosomes are thread like substance present in nucleus which contains dioxirubonucleic acid (DNA).these contain hereditary units called Gene's which pass characters from parents to offspring
