Cilia and flagella are the auxiliary parts of the living organisms.

Both are used for the purpose of movement.

Cilia however prevent the accumulation of any forms of dust or germ particles in the nose.

Flagella on the other hand use the sperm cells in order to move and propel.

Cilia and flagella are cell organelles that are structurally similar but are differentiated based on their function & length.

Similarity : Both are used for movement.

Dissimilarity : cilia are small as compared to flagella  & numerous in number, whereas flagella is larger in size as compared to flagella & usually 1 to 8 in number.

Example : cilia in paramecium and flagella in euglena.
