Clause - A group of words which has a subject and predicate of its own and forms a part of a larger sentence is called a clause.
Types of clauses-
1) main clause
2) subordinate clause

Main clause means which stands independent and gives a specific meaning

dependent clause (subordinate clause) depends on the main clause to give a specific meaning.
