When the infected person sneezes or coughs, the pathogens enter into air from such infected persons. When this air containing pathogens enter into the body of healthy person may cause cold. This type of diseases which spread from infected people to healthy ones are known as "communicable diseases”. They spread through air, water, food or through physical contact of infected person (or his used towels, kerchiefs) or through insects like houseflies and mosquitoes. Common cold, conjunctivitis, typhoid, smallpox, chickenpox, swine flu, tuberculosis chikungunya are some of the communicable diseases.
