A conjunction is a word or set of them that links propositions, phrases or words. It comes from the Latin c u m: 'con', and jun: 'join'; Therefore, it means 'linking or joining with'. It is one of the classes of links. It should not be confused with discourse markers, higher-order links that link texts, not words, phrases, or sentences.

Traditional grammar usually distinguishes between coordinating or own conjunctions and subordinating or improper conjunctions.

Examples of conjunctions:

1. because, after, before etc. (Subordinate Conjunctions)
2. both, and, but etc.. ( Correlative Conjunctions)

Like => He is busy so he will not play.

 Here, SO is conjunction.

Hope it helps you!
