Connectors are also known as conjunctions or linkers. The connectors are though, as , since, when, and yet but, after,  etc., These words are used to join two sentences
I am ill. I am absent for the school today. These two sentences can be connected to make a one sentence by using the link word AS.

As i am ill, i am absent for the school today.
